Dunia Maya

Film Pendek: Forum Film Pelajar Kebumen

2026

Synopsis

Obsessed with the standard of living she sees on social media, Maya pressures her mother to pay for a study tour despite the family's limited finances. The mother lies to an old friend that the money is needed for Maya's sibling's treatment, unaware that the family she asks is the parent of a classmate Maya has been bullying.

Producer's Note

As technology and social media move ever closer to daily life, we live in a space where anyone can share stories and build an image of themselves. Yet behind what appears on screen, there is a reality that does not always match. For us, film is not merely entertainment: it is a space to convey ideas, record reality, and open conversations about issues too often taken for granted.
